For the normal maintenance of your furniture, you can prepare a soap mixture (explained under ‘read more’) and store it in a closable bottle or plant sprayer, so that it is always ready for use.<\/p>\n

Apply the mixture with a cloth (dishcloth or microfiber cloth) and soap the entire piece of furniture in the direction of the wood grain. Let this act for approx. 2 minutes.<\/p>\n

Then wipe the furniture with a clean, damp cloth to remove excess soap and dirt from the top layer of the wood. The water will evaporate very quickly and a new layer of soap will remain in the wood.[\/vc_column_text][vc_tta_accordion style=”total” c_icon=”” active_section=”0″ collapsible_all=”true”][vc_tta_section title=”read more >” tab_id=”1663146214126-01085906-24f19a33-3535″ el_class=”maintenance-read_more”][vc_column_text]WHICH SOAP + WATER RATIO SHOULD I HOLD?<\/span><\/p>\n

The soap mixture consists of: 1 part soap and 10 to 40 parts water. The ratio depends on the intensity of use of the furniture and the color nuance you want to achieve.<\/p>\n

For intensive use, we recommend a ratio of 1:10 to 1:30.
\nWith less intensive use, 1:30 to 1:40 will suffice.<\/p>\n

Before using a soap mixture of white pigmented soap, shake or stir the mixture well so that the white pigment mixes well with the soap.<\/p>\n

It can happen, especially with oak, that the wood fibers stand up a bit after the first soaps. The furniture then feels rough. In the maintenance box you will find a piece of sandpaper 400. Then feel free to sand the surface softly again, in the length of the wood grain.<\/p>\n

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SOAP?<\/span><\/p>\n

You must repeat the soaping, depending on the use and how dirty it is:<\/p>\n

dining and coffee tables: 1 x every 1 to 3 weeks (also regularly take the legs with you to prevent color difference)
\nsideboards and cabinets: 1 x every 1 to 3 months<\/p>\n

soap works in two ways<\/span><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]In the first place, soap works preventively. After each soap treatment, the surface is saturated by the coconut and soy fats, so that dirt and moisture have less chance of penetrating the wood.<\/p>\n

Secondly, the soap also has a cleansing effect by removing the dirt in the top layer of the wood. When soaped furniture is delivered to you, it has already been soaped a number of times and then requires regular maintenance.<\/p>\n

The soap (white or natural) is made from vegetable raw materials without the use of coloring agents, fragrances, preservatives or other artificial additives.<\/p>\n

The soap is extremely concentrated and must be diluted with water before being applied to the wood. The higher the concentration of soap, the whiter \/ paler the wood becomes or remains. The more often you soap it, the whiter \/ paler the wood will become or remain and the more protection for the wood.<\/p>\n

Dirt and stains can be removed by applying the diluted soap to the rough side of a scouring pad and rubbing the area to be cleaned in the direction of the wood grain with pressure, depending on the intensity of the stain. Then wipe the area with a clean, damp cloth. If necessary, repeat several times.
